What is RMA?

RMA is short for Returned Materials Authorization.
An RMA is an alphanumeric identifier used by hardware manufacturers that indicates a user
has been authorized by a company representative to return a product for repair.

Obtaining RMA
Procedures for obtaining RMA from CaptiveWorks Inc. for your Linux based Media Center:
1). Login to our forum and post the issue you are having for our engineers to review.
2). Our staff will examine the issue and may provide possible solutions.
3). Once an issue is determined to be a hardware defect, the customer will be issued an RMA
number and the thread will be moved to the RMA category.

Shipping
Procedures for sending merchandise to CaptiveWorks Inc. for repair:
1). Use proper packaging and padding when shipping a receiver. We strongly recomend enclosing
receiver gift boxes in external cartons. CaptiveWorks Inc. is not liable for any damages
to the product during shipping.
2). The RMA document must be filled out and included in the package.
3). The RMA number must be written on the outer carton.
4). The original purchase receipt must be included in the package for warranty repair.

5). Provide a return mail address which is trackable.
6). For DVB-S/ATSC exchanges, please include $5 US for USA shipping or $10 US for Canadian shipping.

WARNING:
CaptiveWorks Inc. does not accept motherboard and CPU shipments. If one or both of these
items is/are defective, the complete unit must be shipped for repair.
CaptiveWorks Inc. is not liable for defects or issues due to user error. The customer is liable
for shipping and repair costs in these cases even if the unit is under warranty.
Physically damaged items do not qualify for warranty repair.
